How to Add a QR Code to Your Business Card — vCard QR Code Guide

📅 January 2025⏱ 4 min read✍️ Black Cat Artist Studio

A QR code on your business card lets people save your contact details instantly — no more manual typing. One scan, all your details saved directly to their phone.

What is a vCard QR Code?

A vCard QR code encodes your contact information in a standard format. When scanned, the phone immediately offers to save you as a contact — with name, phone, email, company and website all filled in automatically. No more "let me add your number" awkwardness.

Design Tips for Business Card QR Codes

  • Minimum size: 2cm x 2cm on printed card
  • Use your brand color for the QR dots
  • Add a small text below: "Scan to save contact"
  • Use High error correction if adding your logo
  • Always test with both iPhone and Android before printing
  • Download as SVG for the best print quality

Where on the Business Card?

Place the QR code on the back of your business card — either bottom right or center back. Leave a clear white margin around the code. The front should remain clean with your logo, name and key details.
