General Questions
Is Toolkit really free to use? ▾
Yes, all tools on Toolkit are completely free with no hidden charges. No account registration, no subscription fees, no watermarks on your downloaded files. Generate unlimited QR codes, barcodes, invoices and purchase orders for free forever.
Do I need to create an account or sign up? ▾
No account needed. All tools work directly in your browser without any registration or login. Just open the tool and start using it immediately.
Is my data stored on your servers? ▾
No. All processing happens in your browser using JavaScript. Your data — including invoice details, QR code content, barcode values and any uploaded logos — never leaves your device and is never transmitted to any server. When you close the browser tab, all data is cleared. Complete privacy guaranteed.
Does Toolkit work on mobile phones and tablets? ▾
Yes, Toolkit is fully responsive and works on all modern smartphones and tablets. The interface adapts to your screen size automatically. However, for Invoice and PO generation, a larger screen (laptop or desktop) provides a better experience.
Which browsers are supported? ▾
Toolkit works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge and Opera. We recommend using the latest version of Chrome or Edge for the best experience, especially for PDF download functionality.

QR Code Generator
What types of QR codes can I create? ▾
You can create 8 types of QR codes: Website URL, Plain Text, Email Address, Phone Number, SMS Message, WiFi Network, vCard Contact, and GPS Location. Each type is optimized for its specific purpose.
Can I add my logo to the center of a QR code? ▾
Yes! Upload your PNG logo using the logo upload field. For best results: use High (30%) error correction level, keep your logo under 25% of the QR code area, and use a PNG with transparent background. Always test the QR code after adding a logo to ensure it still scans correctly.
What is error correction and what level should I use? ▾
Error correction allows a QR code to be read even if part of it is damaged or covered. Levels are: Low (7% recovery), Medium (15%), Quartile (25%) and High (30%). Use Medium for general purpose. Use High when adding a logo or when the QR code might get dirty or partially damaged in print.
What is the difference between PNG and SVG QR code download? ▾
PNG is a raster image best for standard digital use, email sharing and normal printing. SVG is a vector format that scales to any size without quality loss — ideal for large format printing, signage, merchandise and professional design software.
Do QR codes expire? ▾
QR codes generated on Toolkit are static — they contain the data directly and do not expire. As long as the URL or information you encoded remains valid, your QR code will work forever. If you change your URL, you will need to generate a new QR code.
What size should I print my QR code? ▾
Minimum recommended size is 2cm × 2cm for close-range scanning. For table cards: 4-6cm. For posters: 8-10cm. For billboards: proportionally larger. Generate at 400px resolution for best print quality up to 5cm. Use SVG for larger sizes.

Barcode Generator
Which barcode format should I use for my retail product? ▾
For retail products sold in Europe and internationally: use EAN-13 (exactly 13 digits). For products sold in USA and Canada: use UPC-A (exactly 12 digits). For internal inventory, shipping labels or general use: use CODE128 which accepts any text or numbers.
Why is my EAN-13 barcode showing an error? ▾
EAN-13 requires exactly 13 numeric digits — no letters, spaces or special characters. The 13th digit is a checksum calculated from the first 12. If you are entering an existing product barcode, copy all 13 digits exactly. Common mistake: entering 12 digits instead of 13.
Can I use these barcodes commercially on my products? ▾
You can use barcodes for internal inventory and tracking. However, for retail products sold in stores worldwide, you need to register your barcode numbers with GS1 (gs1.org) to get a globally unique company prefix. GS1 registration ensures your barcodes are unique and scannable in any retail system worldwide.
What resolution should barcodes be printed at? ▾
For reliable scanning, print barcodes at minimum 300 DPI. Download as SVG for the best quality at any print size — SVG scales without pixelation. If using PNG, generate at the maximum slider size available.
What is the difference between CODE128 and CODE39? ▾
CODE128 supports the full ASCII character set (all text, numbers and symbols) and produces more compact barcodes. CODE39 supports uppercase letters A-Z, digits 0-9 and limited special characters (-. $ / + % SPACE). CODE128 is generally preferred as it is more data-dense and universally supported.

How many items can I add to an invoice? ▾
There is no limit. Click "+ Add Item" to add as many line items as needed. Each item has its own description, quantity, rate and individual tax rate fields.

Yes. You can add tax in two ways: (1) Per-item tax — enter the tax percentage in the Tax% column for each line item individually. (2) Global tax — enter a percentage in the "Tax %" field in the totals section which applies to the entire invoice subtotal. Both are calculated automatically.
Is my invoice data saved? Can I come back and edit it later? ▾
Currently, invoice data is not saved between sessions. When you close the browser tab, all data is cleared. Always download your invoice as PDF before closing. We recommend saving a copy of your PDF immediately after creating each invoice.
Can I add my company logo to the invoice? ▾
Yes! Click the logo upload area to upload your company logo. PNG format with transparent background gives the best results. Your logo appears in the top-left corner of the invoice.

Purchase Order Generator
What is a Purchase Order and why do I need one? ▾
A Purchase Order (PO) is a formal document issued by a buyer to a seller that authorizes the purchase of specific goods or services at agreed prices. POs protect both parties — the buyer has a record of what was ordered and the seller has authorized approval to proceed. POs are essential for business accounting and dispute resolution.
What is the difference between an invoice and a purchase order? ▾
A Purchase Order is created by the BUYER before goods are delivered — it authorizes the purchase. An Invoice is created by the SELLER after goods are delivered — it requests payment. In a typical business transaction: buyer sends PO → seller delivers goods → seller sends Invoice → buyer pays.
What are SKU codes in a purchase order? ▾
SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) is a unique code assigned to each product for inventory tracking. Including SKU codes in your PO helps suppliers identify exactly which products you are ordering, reduces errors and makes inventory management easier.
What payment terms should I use in my PO? ▾
Common payment terms: Net 30 (payment within 30 days), Net 60 (60 days), COD (Cash on Delivery), 50% advance + 50% on delivery, or EOM (End of Month). Choose terms based on your relationship with the supplier and your cash flow requirements. Net 30 is the most common standard.
